AN AEROSPACE engineer has scooped a regional award for his four-year stint as an apprentice.
Church Hill resident Paul Mitchell received the advanced apprenticeship graduate of the year award at the Midland Group Training Services awards.
The 23-year-old started at Alcoa Fastening Systems and Rings in 2010 and qualified earlier this year.
He said: “I was completely over the moon to have won the regional award. I was pleased just to have been nominated as it means my work has been recognised, so to win is just amazing.”
