THE OWNERS of a pedigree dog have been left devastated after it was stolen from a property it was boarding at while they were away on a cruise.

The white Imperial Shih Tzu puppy called Betty, who is just seven months old, was taken during the burglary in Lowans Hill View, Redditch, at 3.30pm on Friday.

The dog’s owner has taken to social media to appeal for anyone who knows anything about the incident to contact the police in the hope the dog can be found.

Cash and jewellery were also taken in the raid.

Witnesses or anyone with any information should call police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
