THE Mayor of Alcester cut the ribbon at the opening ceremony of a Specsavers opticians in Alcester last Saturday.
Councillor Gill Forman was joined by the Alcester Court Leet and the Town Crier at the official opening of the new store, located on the former Post Office site at 36 High Street, Alcester.
A group of local Morris dancers also performed on the day, helping to add to the celebrations.
The new store, which will be managed by Andy Davies, will act as a sister practice to Specsavers in Stratford and is run by the same directors, Paul Griffiths, Jonathan Belcher and Andrew Eaves, who have more than 70 years’ optical experience between them.
