A TOWN centre company has decided to help boost funds at Redditch’s hospital to celebrate their 30th anniversary.

Pertemps will be hosting various events including a ball, sky dive and a fancy dress fun run during 2015 in a bid to raise money for the Alexandra Hospital.

Branch manager Michelle Laight said: “With Redditch and the surrounding areas at the heart of our business we are looking to give back this year with a variety of charity events and competitions, all to support the hospital which is the heart of our community.

“The NHS has suffered a variety of budget cuts and services are suffering from within the community so we will be hosting events to help.”

Pauline Rhodes, one of the branch’s longest standing employees who worked there from 1985 until her retirement in 2011, was initially employed as a part-time administrator then went on to become a temporary consultant.

“Pertemps has grown nationally however it still retains the family-based ethos instigated by Mrs Watts and continued by Tim.

“One of the most unusual roles to fill was for a local company who needed a sleeping bag tester. The fulfilment I got from placing people in work was amazing.”
