ANIMAL lovers in Redditch have helped raise more than £2,000 to help feed pets in rescue centres this winter.
Pets At Home Redditch took part in the national Santa Paws appeal to raise money for pets in need at Christmas and customers were given the opportunity to support the appeal simply by donating 50p (enough to fund one Christmas dinner for a rescue pet) at the till point.
The final amount raised – £ 2,289.50 – will be split between Redditch Cat Rescue in Alvechurch and Support Adoption For Pets. The amount raised was enough to make 4,579 Christmas dinners for animals in rescues this Christmas.
