REDDITCH is set to step into Christmas this week with the launch of festive events.
The Santa’s grotto opens today (Friday, November 24) and will take shoppers on a festive journey through Kingfisher’s ‘Christmas Tree Farm’.
Tomorrow (Saturday), Peter Andre is hosting the town’s Christmas light switch-on.
In addition to Peter performance, there will be festive music, food vendors organised by CJs Events, and family-friendly activities.
Muj Rahman, Redditch BID Manager said: “This is an exciting moment for Redditch.
“The Christmas lights switch-on is always an eagerly anticipated event, and we’re thrilled to have Peter Andre as our special guest this year.
“We hope to create a magical atmosphere for the whole community and bring joy and cheer to everyone attending.”
The event will kick of at 12pm in the town centre, visitors will have the opportunity to meet Peter Andre at the Kingfisher Shopping Centre between 3pm and 4pm.
This will be followed by the Festival of Light parade by Redditch Carnival from 4.45pm and the Light Switch on at 5.30pm on Market Place.
The Christmas Extravaganza show will begin at 6pm in front of the Post Office, where visitors will be treated to a Magical Christmas show including a live performance by the Mysterious Girl singer.
