IN many respects, autumn shows Redditch off at its best.
The trees that make the borough so beautiful lose their green foliage as it gradually turns russet and brown before the leaves fall.
All along the town’s roads the trees are changing colour as the season passes from summer into autumn before winter.
Indeed this time of year is so attractive that people travelling along the Alvechurch Highway from McDonald’s island to the ring road have been known to think they’ve left one town, driven through countryside, and arrived at another.
Contrast this with the almost feature-less length of the Bromsgrove Highway to Redditch’s near neighbour, and the difference is stark.
So, out and about around the borough, whether on foot, on bicycle or in the car it’s worth just taking in the glorious autumn colours.
Here we’ve featured photographs by local photographer Paul Wilde and correspondent ‘Lisa’ and a new one from Tim Woolfenden.
