Pilot and passenger walk away from horror helicopter crash

MIRACULOUSLY a pilot and a passenger were able to walk away from a helicopter crash in a field in Warwickshire.

Alcester fire crews attended the scene with West Midlands Ambulance service and found the helicopter well ablaze on arrival.

Both the pilot and the passenger were said to be uninjured after being checked by paramedics at the scene near to the Masons Arms pub in Long Marston, yesterday.

A spokesperson at Alcester Fire Station said: “The pilot and one passenger made it to safety before the aircraft caught fire.




“The crews used breathing apparatus and hose reels to extinguish the fire along with foam.”

Warwickshire Police said in a tweet: “Officers responded to a report of a helicopter making an emergency landing before bursting into flames.


“Fortunately the two people on board got out safely and were uninjured.”
