Plenty to see in Redditch's jam-packed theatre season

THE PALACE Theatre has got a jam-packed line up in Redditch in the coming months.

Mum’s The Word, a comedy show centred on what life is like being a mum, will be staged at 7.30pm on September 29.

It stars EastEnders’ Gemma Bissix, comic actress Sarah Dearlove from Housewives on Holiday and introduces the talented Amy Ambrose.

It is suitable for those aged 16 and over and tickets are £27 or £25 (back row circle).




Terrible Tudors, direct from the West End, tells the stories of the horrible Henries to the end of evil Elizabeth I, hear the legends (and the lies) about the torturing Tudors.

Performances all happening Saturday, October 9, and there are two shows to enjoy – a matinee at 2pm and an early evening performance at 6pm.


Tickets are £17-a-ticket, £60 for family and £15 (concessions).

Finally the Alcester Musical Theatre Company presents a musical full of humour and lively 1980s retro escapism from October 5 to 8. Shows take place at 7.30pm and there is a 2.30pm Saturday matinee.

Based off the film The Wedding Singer, the show follows the journey of wannabe rock star Robbie as he hits rock bottom and fights his way back up again.

Tickets are priced at £20 for Wednesday night, £21 for Thursday, Friday and Saturday evening, and £19 for the Saturday matinee.

The box office – on 01527 65203 – is open Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 9.30am to 4.30pm and people can visit redditchpalacetheatre.co.uk to buy tickets.
