REDDITCH Police are alerting motorists and appealing for witnesses after a young female car driver was attacked, held to the ground and had £30, cash card and sat nav stolen after thugs tricked them into stopping.

The 22-year-old victim was driving along Woodrow North near Fladbury Close between Greenlands and Woodrow on Sunday (October 11) at 6.40pm when the incident happened.

Police say the woman heard a loud bang and, fearing that something had happened to the car,  pulled over and got out to inspect it.

Whilst she was stood at the back of the vehicle she was hit on the back of head, grabbed by the right shoulder and forced to the ground, while a foot pinned her head down.

She then heard an offender speak in a foreign language, the car door opened and from underneath the car, saw two pairs of feet. The offenders then made off with the stolen goods.

Anyone with any information on the incident should call police on 101 and quote crime 22DJ/73331G/15.
