Police appeal for witnesses after house fire

REDDITCH Police are appealing for witnesses after a house fire last Saturday, August 18.

At around 8pm officers received a report of a property on fire in Dagnell End Road, Redditch.

Units attended to support firefighters from Hereford and Worcester Fire & Rescue Service which had sent two appliances.

The blaze was extinguished using hose reel jets and no injuries have been reported.




Safer Neighbourhood Officer Sam Cockburn of West Mercia Police said: “Fortunately no-one was injured in this incident, however substantial damage was caused to the property.

“We are still conducting enquiries to establish the full circumstances and are eager to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or may have seen anything suspicious leading up to the fire starting.”
