Three people have been arrested in relation to the crash including a 50-year-old man on suspicion of causing death by careless driving, a 15-year-old boy on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and aggravated taking of a vehicle without consent and an 18-year-old man on suspicion of aggravated taking of a vehicle without consent.
Det Sgt Liam Bennett of the Serious Collision Investigation Unit said: “We’re in the early stages of our investigation and are working hard to understand what happened yesterday.
“We’re keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time and saw or may have dashcam footage of either the collision itself or the motorbike or car in the minutes before the collision. The motorbike had three people on, which is unusual, so I hope this will help to jog people’s memories.”
