A TEENAGER toting a baseball bat has been given a Police Caution after being found wandering around in Rufford Close, Alcester at 1.20am on Saturday, May 16.

Officers arrived after being alerted over ‘two males with a torch in the close acting suspiciously, one of them was carrying a stick of some kind’.

The 19-year-old was found with the bat and was cautioned for possession of an offensive weapon.

The same evening in the same location the side window of a car was smashed and its bodywork damaged.

Elsewhere in nearby Studley on the evening of Friday, May 15 one car had three tyres punctured by nails in Priory Square and a second was left with two punctured tyres.

Back in Alcester Police have reported that an orange Eliet Major Petrol Shredder on wheels was stolen from the grounds of Alcester Grammar School, possibly on the night of May 7-8.

Officers believe the thieves used bolt cutters to pull back a fence to gain entry to a secure compound.

They then pushed the shredder into Moorfields Park ready to be collected later.

They are appealing for anyone with CCTV of the area at the time to get in touch on 101.
