POLICE conducted a rolling road block after two ‘very young children’ attempted to cross a busy Redditch road on Tuesday night.
The children, thought to be about four or five years old, had crossed the Warwick Highway in the direction of Bromsgrove at 5.56pm on February 20.
The rolling road block was used to slow traffic down to ensure the safety of the two children.
Inspector Gareth Keyte, at Bromsgrove South and Rural Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: “We don’t have any further details on the incident.
“It is very dangerous at that time of night, the road is busy with minimal lighting.
“We would like to remind parents to advise their children on how to stay safe around a busy road and where it is appropriate to cross.”
