Police hunt man who tried to rape Redditch woman on Christmas Day

POLICE are appealing for witnesses following an attempted rape in Redditch on Christmas Day.

The incident is believed to have happened some time between 9pm and 10pm, near to a block of flats in Bushley Close.

The victim, a woman, spoke to police shortly after the incident.

Detective inspector Sarah Squires of West Mercia Police said: “We take reports of this nature very seriously and a thorough investigation is underway.

“I would urge anyone who may have witnessed this incident or saw anything suspicious in the Bushley Close area on the evening of Wednesday, December 25 to please come forward.”

Information can be given by calling 101, quoting incident number 477s of December 25.
