A REDDITCH prisoner who ‘went for a walk’ before Christmas and failed to return is sought by police.
Michael Wilson, who is serving an indeterminate sentence at HMP Hewell for threats to kill, robbery, assaulting a police officer and possessing a mobile phone in prison , left the open prison at about 6am on December 18 to go for a walk – but did not return.
Police are now looking for the 38 year-old who is known to have connections with the West Bromwich area, Stafford and London, but the public are warned not to approach him.
He is described as black, 5ft 10 ins with close cropped hair and a full beard. He has tattoos on both arms and a gold, capped tooth.
Anyone who sees Wilson or has any information about his whereabouts is asked to call West Mercia Police on 101 quoting incident 212S of 18 December.
