A MAN has been voluntarily interviewed by police after a reported racially aggravated public order offence which took place during the match between Redditch United and Bromsgrove Sporting on bank holiday Monday (August 25).
West Mercia Police told the Standard the incident – at the Valley Stadium – was being treated as a hate crime.
“Officers are currently in the process of gathering all available evidence, including witness statements and any relevant footage.”
The force added it was working closely with the Football Association (FA) and both football clubs.
