‘Dedicated team investigating’

Det Ch Insp Ben Arrowsmith said: “When a firearm is discharged it understandably brings huge concern to the local community. Thankfully in this incident nobody was hurt or even worse, killed.

“We have a dedicated team investigating what happened that afternoon and we are still appealing to anybody who may have any information that could help our investigation.

“I appreciate that not everyone feels comfortable speaking with the police and I want to stress information can be passed to the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously. Crimestoppers is 100 per cent confidential.

“You may feel the information you have is irrelevant to the investigation, but however insignificant you think it may be, it could help us to put those responsible in front of a court and help us to keep our community safe”

Anyone with information can submit it to Crimestoppers at crimestoppers-uk,org or by calling 0800 555 111.

Alternatively, text information to 07773 041072.
