THE police helicopter was scrambled in a bid to chase down thieves after they raided premises in Coughton Lane, Coughton, near Alcester.
Chainsaws and other tools were stolen as the thief made a getaway after being disturbed by a resident.
The offender ran off and police suspect they were possibly picked up by a car in the area.
Police units searched the area and called in the force helicopter but with no success.
If anyone has any information on the theft, which happened at 15 minutes past midnight on Friday, February 3 they should ring 101 and quote this crime number: 0002 03/02/2017.
