Pop-up gallery to return to Kingfisher in time for Christmas

Redditch Editorial 5th Nov, 2021   0

REDDITCH’S well received Pop-Up Gallery is returning this month, just in time for Christmas.

Featuring a room full of unique and attractively priced artwork it will once again be in a unit in the Kingfisher Shopping Centre.

Organised by Arts in Redditch, it follows a one-off event in July and signals the return of AiR’s regular twice-yearly exhibitions.

Opening on Thursday, November 25 and running every day for 10 days, the next Pop-Up Gallery features 45 local artists who will be exhibiting more than 500 individual works of art, including paintings, ceramics, textile work, photography and other media.

All the work will be for sale, and can be taken away on the day of purchase.

The exhibition, which is organised and curated by the artists themselves, will be in Unit 24, Walford Walk, opposite Clinton Cards.

This was the unit used by Arts in Redditch in July.

Philip Roberts, one of the trustees of Arts in Redditch, said: “We are really excited to be getting back into our stride, with the resumption of twice-yearly galleries.

“As well as many of our regular exhibitors, we are delighted to welcome some new participants who are looking forward to exhibiting with us for the first time.

“This will be a great opportunity to view the sheer breadth of local creative talent at work in Redditch, and the sales of these works helps to fund our charitable aims.Once again, we are indebted to the management team and staff of the Kingfisher Centre, without whom these events would not be possible.”
