FRIENDS of Isaac’s foodbank raised £3,041.46 from a temporary ‘pop-up’ raffle in the Kingfisher Shopping Centre between Monday and Saturday last week.

All the funds generated will go straight to the foodbank to help it get through January when people will need its services most.

The draw was held on Saturday live on Facebook with prizes including a three-month membership to Redditch Martial Arts, a £50 entertainer toy bundle, a four-person inflatable hot tub, a TV, alcohol and more.

And there were also treats to buy including a children’s lucky dip, toy keys to elves workshops, wooden pictures and coasters.

The Marketplace Space business development manager Matt Smith approached Friends of Isaac’s about getting them into the centre as part of a push to help local businesses and charities.

Isaac’s mum Claire said they were amazed by how much was raised.

“We received toy and food donations and the biggest thing to come out of it has been Isaac’s confidence has drastically improved.

“We will have two sites open by January and to know we have the money behind us to help those who really need it is a great relief.”
