Popular cafe in Redditch town centre reopens after extensive makeover

A POPULAR cafe in Redditch town centre has reopened its doors after an extensive makeover.

Three Cooks Cafe, based on the corner of Market Place and Evesham Walk, now has more room than ever before for customers to enjoy a hot cuppa and a bacon sarnie.

It’s a major success story for the cafe which has had a torrid 18 months of being repeatedly attacked by vandals.

Three Cooks owner Tim Cangaj said: “We have redecorated and we’re really happy with it now.

“Our customers are so surprised when they come in. They tell us how smart it looks.

“We even have room for an extra 14 people.”

Staff member Janine Blake added that the makeover has ‘brought the cafe up to date’ and ‘feels modern’.

Greenlands councillor Joe Baker and Lodge Park candidate Dr Nayab Patel officially opened the cafe on Tuesday.

Coun Baker, who cut the ribbon, said: “Three Cooks has had a hard time with vandals and broken windows so it’s really nice to have a good ending to the story.

“I hope more people visit and support the business because the staff do so much in our community, including offering hot drinks to homeless people outside.

“It’s always great as a councillor to support local and independent businesses because they are the heartbeat of our town.”

Dr Nayab Patel added that it’s great to see smaller businesses thriving in a time when so many large companies are closing.
