Popular free Tai Chi classes help Redditch residents relax and stay active

MORE than 50 people attended a free Tai Chi session at Arrow Valley Park.

Held every Tuesday at 1.30pm throughout the summer, the sessions offer residents the chance to enjoy gentle outdoor exercise in the park.

Tai Chi can help improve balance, flexibility and strength while promoting relaxation and reducing stress.

One participant told the Standard: “It was a lovely session. Very relaxing and just very soft, gentle movements that make me feel very relaxed.”

A man who took part added: “I’ve got health problems. I can’t do physical exercise, but this I can do and I think it will help me. So, thank you.”

The free sessions are open to everyone, with no experience required.

Residents should meet at the amphitheatre beside the play area before the 1.30pm start.
