Popular play centre Imagination Street celebrates tenth anniversary

Redditch Editorial 20th Mar, 2019   0

A POPULAR play centre is celebrating its tenth anniversary.

Imagination Street was launched in 2009 in Bromsgrove by Matt Jinks and Kevin Grubb.

It was the first of its kind at the time, providing a mix of traditional soft play, imagination zones and even an electric car race track.

A second centre was opened in Astwood Bank in Redditch in November 2012.

In April 2016 the Bromsgrove one was forced to close when land the centre was on was sold to Aldi for its new supermarket.

Matt and Kevin decided to focus on the Redditch centre where, as well as bringing in innovative technology and equipment, a trampoline park was added.

Kevin said: “We have always been proud of our revolutionary approach to the experience our young visitors, and just as importantly their parents have at Imagination Street.

“We are keen to make sure that they have just as much of a ‘wow factor’ when they visit us now as they did back in 2009.”

Some more changes are being implemented at Imagination Street, including a ‘Party All Day’ zone and new birthday party options.

“We want the ten-year anniversary of Imagination Street to be a real celebration and the best way to do this is to treat our loyal customers – and new ones too – to the best experience possible at no extra cost,” added Kevin.
