IN A first for Redditch, President of the World Council of Churches will visit the town, at the invitation of Churches Together.
Rev Dr Susan Durber (president for Europe, World Council of Churches) will be at the town centre’s Ecumenical Centre on Sunday, June 15, along with Bishop Mike Royal, General Secretary of Churches Together in England.
The visit is part of a series of international activities to mark 1,700 years since the summary of the Christian Faith, known today as the Nicene Creed, was first drafted.
The event, entitled ‘Worship Together’, starts at 3.15pm with people from different religions welcome.
