MEMBERS of Redditch Lions Club had a roaring day in the town’s shopping centre promoting their work.
The group had a stand at the Kingfisher Shopping Centre where they spoke to shoppers about the charity work they do in the community and encouraged people to join them.
A presentation also took place where more than £3,000 was donated to Prostate Cancer UK and the Rory the Robot campaign to fund a special machine which can reduce recovery times for patients needing surgery to remove a tumour.
The money was raised from last September’s fun run at Arrow Valley Lake, which the group hopes to make an annual event.
