Professional boxers visit Redditch gym Fitness Unlimited

PROFESSIONAL boxers visited a Redditch gym last week to help generate interest in the sport.

Welsh super-light champion Kieran Gething, German light-heavyweight prospect Marco Deckmann, Birmingham-based ‘Delicious Orie’ and former British super-bantamweight champion Scott Quigg stopped by Fitness Unlimited.

The fighters, who are all represented by London law firm Holborn Adams, spoke to local people and also got in the ring for some light sparring.

Fitness Unlimited co-owner, Tobias Ellinas, who purchased the gym a few years ago, said: “Since our takeover the gym has gone from strength to strength.

“We like to get professional boxers in now and again to generate interest.

“I think it helps put the town on the map and it’s good for young people to see – especially those who might be interested in taking up boxing.”

Fitness Unlimited, based on Ipsley Street, has been established as a top total fitness, specialist Body-Building and Boxing gym in Redditch for over 25 years.

The gym is split into two parts, the Hammer Strength Training Centre gym and the new fully equipped Boxing and MMA Hall.
