FATHER Christmases will once again be pounding the streets for a good ‘Claus’ in aid of Primrose Hospice.
This year’s Santa Fun Run is on Saturday, December 5 and Sunday, December 6 and has had to undergo a few changes to keep participants safe.
Runners are asked to take part in their own area and can choose which day, where and when they cover the 10k or 5k distance.
The Santa Fun Run is open to everyone and people can choose to run, jog or walk either on their own or in their household bubbles.
Lucy Perkins, Primrose Hospice fundraiser, said: “We look forward to the Santa Fun Run every year as it is great fun and puts everyone in the festive mood.
“This year will be no different because, even if we have to all do it separately, you can still don a Santa suit, a pair of antlers or even some elf ears and take part.
“You can do anything from running a 10k route or go on a 5k family stroll, the family dog can even get involved.
“As well as having a lot of festive fun you’ll also be ensuring that people with life-limiting conditions and their families receive the care and support they need.”
Participants will all receive a medal on completion while children aged under 10 will receive a goodie bag and a letter from Father Christmas.
This year’s event has been kindly sponsored by Co-operative Funeralcare.
Michelle Varney and Vicki Barry, funeral directors from Co-operative Funeralcare, who said: “Co-operative Funeralcare is proud to sponsor Primrose Hospice’s Santa Fun Run.
“It’s a fantastic event full of festive fun and supports an incredible local charity.”
