KIND-HEARTED fitness fanatics have been collecting donations to be delivered to Redditch Foodbank in time for Christmas.
Training For Warriors (TFW), based in Kings Norton have been encouraging their students to donate non-perishable food items through December alongside Arrow Valley Parkrun.
Rachel Gould, one of the core team at Arrow Valley, said: “It was so lovely to see members of the parkrun family give so generously to help others at Christmas time.”
Meanwhile STAFF at one Redditch factory are urging other businesses to GIVE to foodbanks after collecting more than 24 boxes of donations.
Protex, on Arrow Road, donated the food to Redditch Foodbank at St Stephen’s Church after they asked employees to bring in just one tin each.
Staff member, Deanna Winspur, said: “We just asked people to bring in one thing and thought if we could just get a box full of tins of beans that would be great.
“Before we knew it we had 24 boxes to give away.”
