Pupils join Big Local in spring planting drive for Church Hill centre

Redditch Editorial 14th Oct, 2019   0

IF Church Hill centre looks blooming fantastic next spring it will all be down to the hard work of pupils from Moon’s Moat First School and Abbeywood First School RSA Academy.

Last week they joined the team from Church Hill Big Local on a massive bulb planting drive, dropping snowdrops and crocuses into the soil around the centre ready to grow in the spring.

Ian Johnson from Church Big Local said: “Massive thanks to the pupils for helping plant thousands of bulbs. Also thank you to all our volunteers.

“Counciillors Ann Isherwood and Mike Rouse were happy to part-fund the bulbs from the Councillor Community Grant Scheme and we welcome this opportunity to say ‘thank you’.”
