Rachel Maclean reveals Redditch’s Tiffin Cup entry

ALL of the votes have been counted and Rachel Maclean MP is now able to reveal Redditch’s entry for this year’s prestigious Tiffin Cup competition.

Back in October, the town’s MP asked residents to nominate their favourite South Asian restaurant or takeaway in Redditch.

The Rasoi Cottage received the most votes and has been crowned the Best South Asian Restaurant in Redditch.

After winning the vote, Rachel will now be submitting the Oakenshaw restaurant and takeaway as Redditch’s entry into this year’s Tiffin Cup competition.

Celebrating its 15th anniversary, the Tiffin Cup seeks to promote the importance of South Asian restaurants throughout the UK.

Mrs Maclean said: “I want to wish the Rasoi Cottage the best of luck for the competition, and fingers crossed they once again put Redditch only culinary map, just as Redolence Spice did when they won the Tiffin Cup in 2018.”

Rubin Ahmed, Founder of the Rasoi Cottage, said: “The ethos of my business has always been to look after my customers as I have seen them as my extended family, especially through this pandemic.

“My Bangladeshi heritage is about providing the best hospitality you can. This is what I try to emulate in my food and customer service.”
