THE local branch of the Campaign for Real Ale have organised a series of Beer Weekends in the coming weeks.
The first in this series begins this weekend with the Droitwich Beer Weekend which takes place in pubs across Droitwich on August 7-8.

On tap: Redditch Beer Weekend.
This will be followed by the Redditch Beer Weekend on August 14-15 and Bromsgrove Beer Weekend on August 21-22.
The events have been set up by CAMRA to encourage more people to get out and support their local pub as they try to get back on their feet following the recent lockdowns.
It’s also an opportunity for families to get out and explore some of the great pubs we have in Worcestershire, some of which they may not have visited before.
Participating pubs will be putting on a great range of real ales as well as other drinks plus snacks and meals.
CAMRA has also arranged a treasure hunt each weekend around participating pubs.
A number of prizes will be on offer including meals out, local beers with a star prize for each weekend being a day trip on the narrowboat Cecilia kindly supplied by the Worcester, Birmingham & Droitwich Canals Society.
There will also be a number of short Ale Trails for each weekend.
Details of these plus how to take part in the treasure hunts can be found on the event website rb.camra.org.uk/weekend.
