TEENAGE fund raising duo Hayley Bocking and Hannah Monk are holding a special 50s night in aid of cancer charity Macmillan tomorrow, Saturday.

The event is at Batchley Social Club and features top local 50s and rock n roll band Denim.

“We chose Macmillan because we’ve both had family members who’ve suffered from cancer.” said Hayley, aged 19, from Headless Cross.

“My nan had bowel cancer but made a complete recovery and so Macmillan ios a charity close to my heart.” said the youngster, who is studying events management at Coventry University.

Last year they successfully put on the Feckenham Festival and whilst at college Hayley helped raise funds for an educational trip to Ghana.

“Denim are a rock and roll band who never fail to put a smile on their fans’ faces, getting people who can’t even dance moving, so if you support Macmillan, and love to dance this event is perfect for you!” said Hayley.

Tickets are £5 on the door or £4 in advance on 07879663922 and all those in 50s dress will get a raffle ticket.

Doors open at 7.45pm with the band on stage at 8.30pm.
