WOODFIELD Academy has just received a top quality Nike sports kit for its pupils and sports teacher courtesy of the Premier League.
Premier League Primary Stars is a programme where the Premier League and National Literacy Trust work with schools to inspire children to learn, be active and develop important life skills.
School Librarian Amanda Curtis said: “Harnessing the power of football to motivate reading and literacy skills is a great initiative.
“By being involved in the Reading Stars programme we were able to receive this wonderful sports kit for our school. Hopefully it will inspire our pupils along with our new 3G astroturf pitch.
“We are also looking forward to working with football author and Reading Ambassador Tom Palmer later this year.
