THE new-look slimmed down post lockdown Astwood Bank Carnival is happening this weekend and promising a fabulous time for all the family.
With no carnival procession this year the focus is on the playing fields of Ridge High School where all the traditional attractions, stalls and more will be set this Saturday, September 11.
Carnival chair Ashley Hewitt said: “From midday at Ridgeway playing fields there will be a record number of stands, together with the traditional choices for eating and drinking that include the Tea Tent, Pimm’s stall and bar.
“There will also be the ever-popular Fun Dog Show, Circus Skills, and the usual fun fair.
“Meanwhile the arena events will include our headline act of The Vander Wheel of Death Display Team and falconry displays and much more.”
The Carnival Finale on Sunday, September 12 is at The Why Not Inn, where a selection of family fun activities will be on offer.
