Redditch appeal for donations of warm clothes for refugees fleeing war

Redditch Editorial 4th Oct, 2019   0

GIVE a little warmth to refugees fleeing civil war and strife in their own countries by donating clothes to the collection at The Bridge Church tomorrow, Saturday, October 5.

Run by Bromsgrove and Redditch Welcomes Refugees, all donations will be sent direct to refugee camps by Malvern-based charity People in Motion.

Donations would be timely too as winter approaches and temperatures plunge.

Warm clothing would be welcome but also rucsacks, dignity packs and sensible shoes.

The BRWR team will be at The Bridge (St Luke’s) on Evesham Road, Headless Cross, between 2pm and 4pm.

It is estimated that by the end of 2018, 70.8 million people were forcibly displaced worldwide as a result of persecution, conflict, violence or human rights violations.
