Among the attractions on the day will be food, music, stalls and a chance for people will get together with veterans, family and friends old and new.
The event is being billed as a ‘classic party’ with a singalong, lawn games, a barbecue, outside bar and much more.
People are welcome to wear uniform and period dress.
Nick Walker, one of the co-founders of Redditch AFVBC, said: “Our admin team have worked extremely hard behind the scenes so we can celebrate this momentous day in style.
“We have a couple of Second World War veterans – one from Redditch and one from Worcester – who fought together 80 years ago but have never met.
“The moment they do meet is going to be very poignant for us all.
“We also have the huge privilege of the Mayor of Redditch and Redditch Armed Forces Champion joining us.
“Hopefully the weather will be good so everyone can sit, enjoy the entertainment and celebrate this consequential day with us.”
