REDDITCH Association for the Blind (RAB) has thanked the community after receiving several donations.
Redditch Masons donated £500 and Morrisons shoppers contributed almost £350 for the charity.
RAB has been supporting people with visual impairment since 1994.
The charity’s aim is to provide social opportunities and interaction for people who are registered blind, partially sighted, or who are experiencing significant sight loss, improving the quality of life and wellbeing of people experiencing and living with sight loss across the borough.
To give thanks, RAB organised a pub lunch with 60 volunteers.
Bill Payne, chairman of RAB, said: It was a lovely trip with great food and support from both the chefs and the waitressing staff at the Beefeater Redditch, a really big thank you to them.
“Fabulous sandwiches were provided once again by ‘Cooking Good Filling Great’, thank you all.
“We wish to thank as always our many volunteers who helped to make sure the event was a great success – they were even caught singing along.
“These events are only made possible by the ongoing kind donations from the townspeople of Redditch and for their ongoing generosity we are truly grateful.”
