A PAIR of Redditch musicians are getting set to play one of their favourite Birmingham venues next month after launching their latest EP.
On September 9, singer-songwriter Deb Joyner and guitarist and vocalist Dave, who collectively make up the acoustic duo Imaner will be playing the Hexagon Theatre at the MAC alongside Midlands based three piece English Jones.
Pronounced like a Brummie ‘Him and Her’, Imaner are set to give a heady mix of covers and original material with a liberal splash of banter and audience participation.
The band regularly perform in and around Redditch and Worcester, but are particularly looking forward to playing the MAC, a venue which showcases an eclectic mix of world music, folk, jazz and pop .
Deb, who also plays cajon drum, added: “We are so excited about this event – I have seen some of my favourite acts at the Mac, so its a real honour to be able to play there.”
The band launched their latest EP ‘The Strong Ones’, six weeks ago and it will soon be available to buy on Bandcamp.
Tickets cost £10. Visit http://bit.ly/2w5fOt2 to buy tickets or go to http://bit.ly/2vFYXMH to hear the album.
