THE new chairman of Worcestershire County Council, Redditch Councillor Brandon Clayton, has invited newly weds Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to visit the county.
Coun Clayon joined with vice chairman Coun Peter Tomlinson to extend the invitation.
Coun Clayton (Con, Redditch North) also said his priority this year will be to bring councils and councillors from across Worcestershire together to promote the best of the county.
On inviting the Royal couple to Worcestershire vice chairman Coun Tomlinson said: “I can’t think of a better way to promote Worcestershire and to bring the county together than to have a royal visit.
“Prince Harry is a military man and we have a great military history here in Worcestershire.
“We would love to see Harry and Meghan visiting this beautiful county of Worcestershire sometime soon.”
The new chairman and vice chairman joined County Council staff in wishing Prince Harry and Meghan ‘good luck’ as a newly married couple.
