REDDITCH Business Improvement District (BID) has funded five new bicycles that will be used by the police to patrol and monitor the town centre.
Recognising the importance of maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for residents, businesses, and visitors alike, Redditch BID has undertaken this initiative to support the efforts of the local police.
By providing them with bicycles, Redditch Police officers will have increased mobility, enabling them to respond promptly to incidents, conduct patrols, and engage with the community more effectively.
Redditch BID Manager, Muj Rahman said: “Our partnership with Redditch Police is based on the shared commitment to create a safe and welcoming environment for everyone in Redditch.
“Together, we believe that this sponsorship will enhance the police presence in the town centre, contributing to the overall security and well-being of the community.

Insp Richard Field from Redditch Police said: “This is another great example of effective partnership work in tackling Anti-social behaviour and crime locally.
“I would like to thank Redditch BID for purchasing the bikes which will be used by local officers to provide more viability in our communities.
“They will assist officers in patrolling more frequently during their time on duty.”
