A REDDITCH boxer has been awarded £1,000 through a national fund-raiser.
Maddie Adkins, who trains at Stratford ABC, was selected by King Of Comps UK to help with the ongoing costs of kit, gloves, boots and travel.
King Of Comps UK holds competitions every day which raise life-changing amounts of money.
Thousands of people entered the competition to win a signed Tyson Fury boxing glove and £200, with Tracey Rea from Evesham winning the prize.
Maddie said: “I’m really grateful that Josh from King Of Comps UK reached out and was able to raise that much money so quickly.
“It will really help with going forward in my career.”
