A THIRTEEN year-old guitar hero has yet again had success in his Rock School electric guitar grade exam.
Will Lane from Feckenham practised morning and night for his Grade 7 guitar exam and the hard work has paid off as he passed with a Merit, making him one of the youngest ever to reach this grade.
Although Will enjoys sports and X-Box, he practices his guitar twice a day, five times a week and has been playing since he was just seven years old.
His tutor, Vic Nicholson said: “I am very proud of what Will has achieved. He has worked extremely hard over the last few years and he is a great example to other students his age.”
Will was lucky enough to perform recently for his fellow students at Ridgeway Academy and also at the Palace Theatre in the ‘Choirs Connected’ concert. These were his first public appearances and he took them in his stride, although there were a few nerves to begin with!”
Will is now looking forward to Grade 8, the final grade, and is determined to succeed.
