THE TOWN Centre Grant Scheme is now open for applications from businesses in Redditch.
The grant scheme allows companies to apply for match-funded grants of between £1,000 and £5,000.
The awards are designed to support businesses in improving the customer experience and the business’ performance, including enhancing ground floor frontages, fixtures and fittings for retail space, marketing and equipment.
Redditch Borough Council leader and portfolio holder for planning, regeneration, and governance, Coun Joe Baker, said: “These grants are an excellent opportunity for town centre-based businesses to elevate their offerings and put our residents first in how they operate.
“The town centre is an outstanding hub with a variety of different businesses and these grants will help us to continually improve the offerings for our residents.”
Thanks to a grant awarded in an earlier round, Redditch centre based business Physio and Health Matters Ltd has been able to double the number of treatment rooms it operates and, in turn, doubles the number of appointments it is able to offer.
The funding it secured from Redditch Borough Council via the Redditch Town Centre Grant, which is funded by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, also helped it improve its business performance and customer experience.
Practice manager for Physio and Health Matters Ltd, Emma Horne, said: “The application process was quite straightforward, and communication was regular and clear.
“As a business this has really helped us to improve the facilities we provide within our new physio clinic.“
She added she would thoroughly recommend this service to other businesses in the local area.
Round three of the Town Centre Grant scheme, which is being match-funded by Redditch BID, is currently open until August 16.
Further rounds may be available in the future but are subject to funding available.
