Redditch businesses warned not to fall for hoax calls

Redditch Editorial 21st Oct, 2016   0

THE FIRE Service are warning small business owners not be taken in by hoax callers claiming to offer advertising space in their magazine.
Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue has received reports of businesses being called by someone claiming to be from a nearby fire brigade or station and asking for £395 to place the advert.
Area Commander Jon Pryce said: “Anyone who receives any similar call should not agree to pay any money or enter into any kind of contract. HWFRS does not carry out any such activities in relation sales or marketing.”
