TWO Worcestershire businessmen are running the London Marathon to raise money for Primrose Hospice.

Ben Truslove at John Truslove Chartered Surveyors & Valuers and James Godsall at Jukes Insurance Brokers are hard at work training for the marathon with just 8 weeks to go.

The pair are off to a steady start and have raised over £800 for Primrose Hospice with plans to raise much more.

Ben said: “Primrose Hospice have provided fantastic care and support to a number of people with life-limiting illnesses very close to me.

“I have already raised over £3000 for Primrose thanks to generous donations from family, friends and clients for Marathons and Wolf Runs.

“I hadn’t run a marathon before Chester in October last year and after completing Worcester earlier this year, I’m really looking forward to the atmosphere in London!”

James added: “Primrose Hospice are a wonderful charity that provides critical care for those with life-limiting illnesses and their families. We are lucky to have them as they play a key role in supporting our community.

“At Jukes Insurance Brokers, we’ve had a longstanding relationship with Primrose for many years and we’re proud of the small part we’ve played in supporting their amazing work. This year we want to raise more than ever before.”

Rebecca Stone, fundraising manager at Primrose Hospice said: “We were so pleased to hear that Ben and James wanted to take on the iconic London Marathon for Primrose Hospice.

“Every penny really does count and the funds they have raised is vital for us to continue supporting people living with life-limiting illnesses and families experiencing bereavement in our local community.”
