A REDDITCH care assistant has been named the winner of the ‘Kindness in Care Award’ in the Ideal Care Awards.
The Ideal Care Awards seek to recognise the hard-work and dedication demonstrated by team members across all 36 of the provider’s care homes.
With over 1,000 nominations submitted this year, the awards saw seven categories, ranging from Care Team Member of the Year to the Home of the Year Award.
Caroline Paul, from Millcroft care home was named the Kindness in Care Award winner by the Ideal Care Awards’ judges for ‘fostering a culture that actively encourages simple kindness’.
Caroline’s win was announced at a glitzy ‘dress to impress’ awards ceremony held at the Radisson Blu Hotel in the East Midlands and hosted by celebrity guest, Shaun Williamson.
She said: “I am honoured to receive this award and would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to everyone involved.
“Special thanks go to Lyndsay Sard, our Home Manager, whose encouragement has been instrumental in my success.”
Lyndsay added: “I really couldn’t be prouder of Caroline for winning this award, as it means so much to her and the team at Millcroft.
“Caroline’s recognition in the Kindness in Care award stands for what we aim to deliver every day, and it is a true reflection of her hard work and dedication.’
