IT was all aboard for a cruise around Europe at Four Acres care home in Studley when staff and residents set sail for foreign shores – without leaving their Archer Close base.
After a hearty English breakfast the cruise took residents to Ireland where they enjoyed the music of an accordionist playing tunes from the Emerald Isle.
From there it was a short trip across to France where they enjoyed a nice Gallic-flavoured lunch washed down with a glass of ‘vin de table’.
While there they enjoyed a screening of the classic film ‘An American in Paris’ and took part in that most traditional of French games, boules. It was then off to Italy for afternoon tea before finishing in Spain with a Mediterranean-style buffet.
