RESIDENTS at a Redditch care home will be putting the ‘fun’ into fund-raising this week as they get into the Red Nose Day spirit.
The team and residents at Brambles Residential Care Home in Birchfield Road, are hosting a Red Nose Day themed bake sale this Friday (March 24), between 10.30am and noon, with all proceeds going to Comic Relief.
Visitors to the home will be able to get to enjoy a slice of something nice and a drink in return for a small donation, and there will also be some live music to add to the celebrations.
The team will also be showing their support by donning bright red noses and dressing in red attire for the day.
Resident Sheila Stanford, who is 88 years old, said: “I can’t wait to eat the cakes. It is a lovely idea to raise money for such a good cause.”
