RESIDENTS and staff at a Redditch care home have shared advice for expectant and first-time mums after Mother’s Day.
Millcroft care home manager, Lynsday Shard said motherhood blended dedication, love, and resilience.
“Don’t be too harsh on yourself and never compare yourself to other mums.
“Every journey is unique, and it’s okay to have your own pace and approach.”
Resident Pat Tuckley added: “Rest when you can, sleep when they sleep.
“Otherwise, you’re going to struggle.
“You can always tidy up later.”
Another resident Jean Franklin added: “It came automatically – what else would you do but love them?
“Your lovely child is right there to love.”
